JAMB Advises students
Thousands of students from Benue state who wrote the last Unified Tertiary Matriculation (UTME) which was conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) but could not get their results for three out of the four subjects have been told to forget about their results because they failed to follow basic instructions during the examinations.
In an interview with the Guardian on Thursday in Makurdi, the Head of the Benue JAMB office, Mr Emmanuel Amodu stated that all the dandicates who had results for teh Use of English Language, but did not get results for the otehr subjects they entered for were the ones that failed to shade in the registered subjects, hence the computer could not mark their examination sheets.
He said that the said candidates were opportuned to be socred in the Use of English Language because Jamb had preshaded it.

I have heard about something like this in the news before and it is not just for Benue state alone, but Jamb had initially made an official explanation as to the reason behind some students not having complete results - It was due to their failure to shade the registered subjects even though they may have shaded the answers. I also learnt that for those students who are still dissatisfied , Jamb was also offering post Utme services at the cost of N10,000 for those who want officials to sort their answer sheets and show them but that would only be for sight seeing as they would not be able to so any shading again.

    Sir/Ma,

    PLEASE RELEASE MY RESULT

    Above subject matter refers.

My name is ALONGE OMOBUKOLA ESTHER and I sat for the last UTME with Registration Number 06227432AB and Exam No 25006437.

During the course of the examination, I sat for USES OF ENGLISH, BIOLOGY, PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY. Sir, I could remember that I followed all the instruction given by the invigilator and supervisors in the examination centre.

But to my utmost surprise, when the result was released, I only found record for two subjects out of four. I.e. U USES OF ENGLISH and PHYSICS.

Sir/Ma, I am using the medium to appeal to your good office to please release my result.

Thank you for your anticipated assistance.

    Yours faithfully,

    ALONGE OMOBUKOLA ESTHER (MISS)

I am 100% sure that I have shaded my subject codes and everything. This is the fourth time I have written JAMB in my life and I scored below 180 once. I can not make a mistake like this. I wrote USE OF ENGLISH, MATHS, ECONOMICS AND GOVERNMENT. Please do something about it and save the children of the less privileged from being victims all the time.

    Thank you
